TeraFlowSDN Release 3 Provides a Cloud-based Network Automation Platform Featuring New Optical SDN Controller and Expanded Support for Disaggregated Networks – ETSI

TeraFlowSDN Release 3 introduces an optical SDN controller for managing programmable ROADMs and transceivers, enabling end-to-end connectivity across optical and IP domains. The update expands support for disaggregated networks through gNMI and OpenConfig protocols while adding a new BGP-LS speaker for automated device discovery and topology management. Enhanced orchestration capabilities now cover IP over DWDM, L3VPN, and Mobile Edge Computing, alongside numerous robustness improvements and bug fixes. Following this release, the community will convene for a Hackfest in Athens to explore network discovery and telemetry features, while the group has been renewed as an ETSI Software Development Group to foster broader collaboration.
